PURPOSE AND AIMS OF THE CLUB
The main purpose from the start was to provide a regular venue for friends to talk over a good but inexpensive meal. Very soon it became evident that many other people - often friends of the original members were also interested in joining our club where political correctness was not in control - Within a few months our numbers had increased from the original 8 to 12 and continues to grow.
If people only rely on the mainline Newspapers, and Magazines and view A.B.C. and S.B.S. Television they will obtain a perspective of events and history controlled by these sources and which are mostly the products of journalists interested in expressing their own views on a subject.
Thus inevitably these sources push an ideology seldom subjected to real inspection and debate. This club was created to offset if possible the bias of the main media sources and provide our members with an opportunity to debate issues free from political correctness.
(We provide on this site opinions and comment from a variety of sources both in text form for you to read, or if you prefer there is another page called AUDIO OPINIONS where a number of such opinions and comments are provided where you can LISTEN rather than READ. We have provided this additional facility for those older persons who may have difficulty reading any long period from a computer screen.)
